Capel Street interior was a painting done in a forth floor room on the corner of Capel street and Abbey street in Dublin city centre.
The girl in the background was an american friend of mine called Tasha. The man in the foreground is the artist Fergus Fehilly.
This was an exercise in composition, using the diagonals and verticals of the rooms architecture to increase the feeling that the two people are not communicating. They are locked in their own private worlds. |
